Even in the depth of winter there is still plenty to do at many of the attractions around the Heart of Kent - so wrap up warm and have some winter fun by visiting some of the suggestions below. Click on each entry to check opening times and ticket prices.

Leeds Castle
Leeds Castle is somehow even more magical in the cold and frost of winter. Open all year, visitors can enjoy both the castle and the grounds, maze, café and shop. The 'Keys to the Castle' ticket gives visitors admission to the castle and grounds for one year after the date of purchase, so makes great value for money.
Lullingstone Roman Villa
Among the most outstanding surviving Roman villas in Britain, Lullingstone provides a unique opportunity to trace Roman domestic life over three centuries. A dramatic new film and light show bring the story of the villa and its artifacts to life.
Eagle Heights
Not far from Lullingstone, Eagle Heights has displays of eagles, hawks, falcons, owls, vultures, reptiles, meerkats and 'Boumani' the cheetah! Eagle Heights is open at weekends during January and February and then daily from March into the summer.
Broadview Gardens
Open all year, Broadview is truly a garden for all seasons. This 10-acre garden has been designed and planted by the students of Hadlow College - so perfect for picking up new design ideas and plant combinations.
Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest
Over 200 acres of conifer forest, and miles of cycling and mountain biking tracks and footpaths make Bedgebury a great place to get some fresh air and exercise. Open every day of the year, Bedgebury is offering a special half price ticket on Wednesdays (not during February Half Term) until the end of March at £3.50 per car.
Ashdown Llama Park
In the middle of Ashdown Forest is probably not where you would expect to find more than 100 llamas and alpacas. At Ashdown Llama Park visitors can even take a llama for a walk (booking essential), as well as visit the museum, gift shop, visitor centre and coffee shop.
