Want to get out into the country? Cranbrook, known as the 'Capital of the Weald' and just a half hour's drive from Royal Tunbridge Wells, is a charming country town with its windmill and range of interesting small shops and antiques shops -perfect for browsing.

The pretty villages of Lamberhurst, Goudhurst, Matfield, Brenchley and Hawkhurst - all east of the town are also worth a visit. And in the other direction, try Penshurst and Chiddingstone and Wadhurst to the south for a view of idyllic English village life.
The Seven Wonders of the Weald are a unique group of visitor attractions all within easy reach of Royal Tunbridge Wells. From the enchanting gardens at Marle Place and fun for all the family at the Kent & East Sussex Railway and the Hop Farm to outdoor activities at Bedgebury Forest, the Seven Wonders provide real variety for a great day out.
