Being dragged by her mother back to the family village thousands of miles away is no fun for 13-year-old Nasreen. In the monsoon rain, surrounded by the wagging tongues of relatives and not being able to text friends, the mystical power of henna leads to unexpected events.
Based on real stories from Muslim women, of lives lived between two cultures, the play skips back and forth across time to create a bustling, colourful world bursting with music, dance and family celebration.
